34 degrees – outside temperature in the shade
26 degrees – inside temperature
The insulation we have installed works very well. It is designed to keep the house both cool during the summer and warm during the winter.
During this hot Japanese summer – with outside daily temperatures in the mid 30s, the inside temperature of the house is a very comfortable 26 degrees. For more details on this insulation (YBS super quilt) you can visit the previous post House Frame going up.
Below are also some photos of the insulation which we are using for the roof, walls and floor.

Good afternoon,
First of all I have to make you a compliment with the beautiful documented blog you are making.
One of my colleagues from YBS pointed me in your website’s direction.
I am not sure if I am using the right way to get in contact with you, but I hope you understand.
At the end of this year YBS is attending a EU-business mission to Tokyo, and I would very much like to add some of your photo’s to our presentation. Would this be OK with you?
Best regards,
